Further information on the type of products we sell on this site.
Our products fall mainly into two categories, photographic grades and fine art grades. Both are types of inkjet photo paper. Our photographic inkjet photo paper can be further split into 3 different 'surfaces'.
Gloss Inkjet Photo Paper
This inkjet photo paper is available in two grammages, or weights. 190gsm and 270gsm these reflect the various uses that our customers have. In general the lighter weight of the two is often used for printing quality pictures out at home, for presentation work and for cost effective photographic reproductions. It is available in A4 - A3 and A3+
The heavier 270gsm is regarded as a 'professional' grade inkjet photo paper. Whilst the coating is exactly the same as the lighter 190gsm the paper has a more sturdier feel and more accurately represents the feel of high street print services. This photo paper obviously costs a little more but as befits a papermill the price/quality is still highly competitive. It is available in A4 - A3 - A3+ and A2. As expected from this professional grade inkjet photo paper we also supply this weight in rolls, these are available in 329mm x 10m - 432mm x 25m - 610mm x 30m - 914mm x 30m and 1118mm x 30m - these rolls can be found on the Gloss inkjet photo paper on a roll page.
It goes without saying that we only sell the highest quality inkjet photo paper and the quality of print on both the Gloss and the Pearl is simply superb. Pin sharp images, excellent colour reproduction and clarity make our inkjet photo papers one of the market leaders worldwide.
Pearl Inkjet Photo Paper
This inkjet photo paper is available in the same grammages as the Gloss above and in the same sizes. The winning feature of this inkjet paper is its semi-gloss surface or sometimes known as lustre - luster or satin. It has the same great quality of the Gloss inkjet photo paper with superb clarity and sharpness. It is of particular interest to professional photographers for using in weddings prints, portraits and landscapes. This is our most popular selling inkjet photo paper.
Another member of the 'Pearl' inkjet photo paper family is our Double Sided photo paper. Weighing in at a nice solid 270gsm it too offers the high quality prints of our normal Pearl inkjet photo paper but with the highly useful feature that it can be printed on both sides. In fact this paper is so good and so versatile we use it in our photobooks. It is also used for leaflets, point of sale and presentation work.
Matt Inkjet Photo Paper
Our most cost effective but high quality inkjet photo paper. Available in a choice of two grammages, 170gsm and 230gsm. An excellent photo paper with a completely matt surface and results in surprisingly good prints for a Matt paper. Most often used for proofing, cards and high quality presentation printing including CAD work. Available in A4 - A3 and A3+ in 170gsm and A4- A3 - A3+ and A2 in the 230gsm. To cater for the CAD market and large format printers we also stock this inkjet photo paper in 610mm x 30m, 914mm x 30m, 1067mm x 30m.
Our fine art papers are also available in three surfaces:
Soft Textured inkjet photo paper
A gorgeous textured paper often called watercolour paper. This inkjet photo fine art paper is accredited with the Fine Art Trade Guild and when used in conjunction with pigmented inks will last a lifetime (and longer). Made of the finest alpha cellulose containing no OBA's (Optical Brightening Agents), acid free and lignin free, this inkjet paper offers the best way to reproduce fine art photographs or limited edition prints on a tactile watercolour photo paper. It is available in 315gsm and in sheet sizes of A4 - A3 - A3+ and A2. As you would expect we also cater for large format printers with the supply of 210mm x 15m, 330mm x 15m, 432mm x 15m, 610mm x 15m, 914mm x 15m and 1118mm x 15m on our fine art rolls page
Smooth high White Cotton inkjet photo paper
100% cotton inkjet photo paper - perfect for fine art portraits, limited edition cards, monochrome and so much more. This versatile paper is available in 315gsm and is accredited with the Fine Art Trade Guild. Available in A4 - A3 - A3+ and A2 in sheeted form and 432mm x 15m, 610mm x 15m, 914mm x 15m and 1118mm x 15m on our fine art rolls page Often known as 'Cotton Rag' it is often preferred over the Hahnumuhle rag as the unique manufacture and coating of our inkjet photo paper means less dust that it's german counterpart.
Canvas Fine Art inkjet photo paper
Not to be mistaken for true stretchable canvas, on the contrary this unique inkjet photo paper is the creative child of our Softy Textured Art paper. After manufacturing the Soft Textured paper we run some of it through our embossing kit here in the Lake District and imprint what we call a 'Buckram' pattern. This results in an archival, Fine Art Trade Guild approved art paper that recreates the weave that is found on stretchable canvas. It offers a viable alternative to those customers that cannot or prefer not to use stretchable canvas. This inkjet photo paper can be sheet fed and you achieve the canvas like print with the minimum of fuss.
Inkjet Boards / Rigid Media
In addition to our 'normal' inkjet photo papers we also manufacture inkjet photo boards. These are available in all the surfaces above and are all 1.3mm thick. There is only one special requirement needed for you print onto the inkjet photo board and that is that your inkjet printer must have a straight paper path. These are often found on large format printers of A3+ and above. Please consult your printer specifications prior to ordering.
The boards are all made from conservation white core, acid free and in the case of the fine art surfaces, Fine Art Trade Guild approved. They are available in A4, A3, A3+, A2 and in some cases B1 - please review our products to assertain this.
The benefit of printing onto boards is that there is no need to mount your print after printing, the board can be placed directly into the frame. thus saving Cost, Time and Money.
True Cotton Canvas inkjet photo rolls
Natural white, cotton canvas - perfect for canvas printing and stretching. This canvas has an excellent inkjet receptive surface and returns vibrant colours. Whilst our canvas is stretch resistant we always recommend that the frame is rounded off slightly prior to fixing, this helps the canvas curve around the frame without undue stress and so further aiding crack resistance. Available in 210mm x 12m, 330mm x 12m, 432mm x 12m, 610mm x 12m, 914mm x 12m, 1118mm x 12m and weighs in at a healthy 340gsm.
